Meeting the Family
Well, last week I did the whole ‘meet the family’ thing with the boy. His family, not mine.
It all went fairly well for the most part, although there were some… interesting moments.
Like when his Mum and Step Dad decided to take us to look at Real Estate near there house, and kept making comments about there being ‘so many schools for you to get a job at!’
Or when I met the million children his brothers have (OK, one has 5 and the other has 6, but still, when they run around screaming, it sounds like a million of them!)
Or when I had to keep going to bed because I felt queasy and tired. I’m sure I’m not the only one that left thinking I was knocked up!
However, I think they liked me a little. And I did find it funny when the boy’s Mum’s pet bird kept chasing him and attacking him.
But boy oh boy are there going to be some wars on when all the different parents decide they want us living near them! At this point, I think I am happy staying as far away as possible from all of them – I like my distance. Let’s hope the boy feels the same about that for quite a while!
